Our Mission

At Georgian Bay Spirit Co. we're on a mission to be one of the most environmentally sustainable and eco-conscious distilleries. Our commitment is to continue crafting the products that you know and love while ensuring we are leaving a positive impact on the planet. Driven by our dedication to environmental responsibility, we are constantly exploring innovative ways to lower our ecological footprint. From minimizing plastic usage and overall waste to sourcing sustainable products and resources, every decision is a step towards a greener future. We are working diligently to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions, prioritizing sustainability at every stage of our production process.

Understanding our Ecological Footprint

The first step to improving our impact on the planet is to understand how we're currently affecting it. So, we've enlisted the help of Radicle to become Climate Smart Certified. Radicle helps us to understand where our emissions are coming from and what we can do to reduce them. This certification means we understand our greenhouse gas emissions' (tCO2e) impact on the environment and that we have an action plan towards reducing it!

Introducing Georgian Bay Eco-Friendly Gin

Canada's first-ever paper spirit bottle. A groundbreaking innovation in the world of sustainable packaging, 5x-lighter than traditional glass bottles. This eco-friendly alternative not only reduces the environmental footprint of our packaging but also revolutionizes the efficiency of shipping.

With its lightweight design, our paper bottle significantly cuts down on transportation-related emissions, requiring fewer trips and less fuel to deliver our products to stores across the country. What makes this achievement even more remarkable is that the bottle is crafted from 100% recycled paperboard, showcasing our commitment to environmental responsibility at every stage of production.

Our Eco-Friendly Gin is going one step further! For every bottle sold we will plant a tree through our partnership with Canada’s Forest Trust Corporation.

Together, we’re supporting the success of a Smart Forest™ — a Canadian reforestation and climate action initiative that plants, preserves, and protects a forest ecosystem by carefully considering local climate, soil conditions, biodiversity, and land history.

Our new plastic-free 6-packs are available now. Effectively preventing thousands of plastic rings from ending up in landfills each year.

Dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the ocean, beaches, and waves, for all people, through a powerful activist network. We will be helping Surfrider with water quality monitoring as well as taking part in shoreline clean ups around Vancouver and Vancouver Island.
